"...you are on your way to becoming your father."
Lucky: {Has Helena in a headlock through the jail cell} You're losing your touch, Helena.

Helena: Guard!

Lucky: She's not going to fall for that.

Helena: Do you love Elizabeth, Lucky?

Lucky: Oh, I will after we're finished today.

Helena: It's too late, Lucky.

Lucky: That's wrong. You will help me restore the light back to Elizabeth's eyes, and I will give her the life that I promised her, right?

Helena: I'm afraid that's not possible.

Lucky: You took my love for Elizabeth, Helena.

Helena: No. Your father took the best of my heart when he killed my favorite son. And now -- now I've killed the best of your heart, too.

Lucky: Give it back!

Helena: I can't change what I've done, even if I wanted to.

Lucky: Then you're lying.

Helena: Go ahead, Lucky. Do what's required. But you will never love Elizabeth again.

Nikolas: {Walks in} Lucky, let go.

~*~

Nikolas: Let her go, Lucky.

Lucky: Why should I?

Nikolas: Because she is not worth it. Let go. {Lucky releases his grip}

Helena: Thank you, Nikolas.

Nikolas: Don't thank me. I didn't come here to save you.

Lucky: If you came here to save me, don't bother.

Nikolas: Listen to me, Lucky.

Lucky: Just stay the hell away from me, Nikolas! {He leaves}

Helena: Go ahead, Nikolas. Try to help. After all, you're responsible.

Nikolas: {Walks over to her} You did this.

Helena: At your request. You wanted Elizabeth, remember?

Nikolas: It was a lie, grandmother.

Helena: You certainly convinced me. Although I'm not surprised. Cassadines are gifted liars.

Nikolas: I am nothing like my father. Don't you even --

Helena: Oh, Nikolas. Will you ever grow up?

Nikolas: I have, and you can't handle that.

Helena: Oh, my poor, naive grandson. You haven't the slightest idea what you're capable of doing.

~*~

Nikolas: You're threatening me now? From jail? {He steps away}

Helena: Nikolas. {He steps away from her} Nikolas, you're too young to be the prince. You know that. Everyone else knows it, too.

Nikolas: No. No, no, no, not everyone else. Stefan believes in me.

Helena: Oh, Stefan. You have no experience. You've got very little training. And once you start to feel that power --

Nikolas: Grandmother, I spent most of my life in training.

Helena: Oh, yes, I forgot. You are Nikolas, the good Cassadine.

Nikolas: That's right.

Helena: Oh, you will do some good things for a while. But after a while, confusion will set in.

Nikolas: I know the difference between right and wrong. {Walks back over to her}

Helena: Ah, and that's why you asked me to erase Lucky's love for Elizabeth, hmm? Right and wrong are not simple, Nikolas. Once you have the power and the money and far too many people telling you that you are wonderful, what was once clear will become gray. And, oh, Nikolas, gray can be so seductive.

Nikolas: That will never happen.

Helena: Ah, it already has. Oh, you are on your way to becoming your father. Long live my darling prince. {She kneels before him}

Nikolas: Stop it. Stop it! Stand up! Stand up!

~*~

Nikolas: Stand up. I order you to stand up!

Helena: {She stands up} Yes, my prince.

Nikolas: And stop saying that!

Helena: Then you're not the prince? You have renounced the Cassadines? I didn't think so.

Nikolas: Grandmother, no one loves you. No one ever will. Your life has amounted to absolutely nothing! You're in a jail cell! But my life is about to begin.

Helena: Yes, my prince.

Nikolas: And you will not drag me -- you will not drag me down with you.

Helena: No, my prince.

Nikolas: Guard! {He leaves}
