"I'd be lost without
you."
Gia walks into the stables and when she hears a
horse she turns
Nikolas: It's awfully early. What are you doing
here? {He walks over to her}
Gia: Well, I woke up and you were gone.
Nikolas: That's because I didn't want to wake you.
Gia: Well,
you were tossing and turning all night. I just wanted to make sure that you were
ok.
Nikolas: I'm fine, I promise you. Ok? Besides, you
know how much I love to ride. Clears my mind. I get into the open and all I'm
aware of is the wind rushing by, the sound of Sheba's hooves. I feel my own
heart beating. The rest of the world just kind of falls away.
Gia: So why don't you make the rest of the world
just fall away?
Nikolas: Absolutely. {They share a few kisses and then
he scoops her up in his arms}
~*~
Nikolas: {Gia starts to cry a little} Hey. Hey.
What is it?
Gia: I just -- I love you so much.
Nikolas: I love you, too. Come here. {He kisses her}
Gia: You
know, when something touches you, it touches me, too. I know you've been
thinking about your father.
Nikolas: I don't want you to worry.
Gia: No, I'm not, I just -- just hear me out, ok? Look, it's natural for
you to think about your father. I mean, if you didn't, then you wouldn't be the
kind, decent person that I love if you didn't feel some connection with your
father. You know, it doesn't mean that you two are alike. Or that his darker
side is a part of you in any way.
Nikolas: You are a part of me, and you always will
be.
Gia: And you will always be able to make the rest of the world fall
away.
Nikolas: That's right.
Gia: Although I have to admit the riding gear
helps. Seeing you walk out of the mist with your boots and your face all flush
and your hair all wind-blown. I'm starting to like this equestrian thing.
Nikolas: Ok, good. Then you can wake up with me every morning and feed
Sheba.
Gia: No. Forget the horses. {Nikolas groans} I like the man.
Nikolas: Ok.
Gia: And the clothes. {Nikolas laughs as he wraps
his arms around her} And especially the grand finale in the hay.
Nikolas: Hmm. That's not bad. But you know
something? I'd be lost without you.
Gia: Well, you have me forever.
Nikolas: Yeah?
Gia: And I have nothing to do except be with --
{He kisses her} oh, my god!
Nikolas: What? What? {Gia sits
up}
Gia: Oh, my god!
Nikolas: What?
~*~
Lucky: Hey, do me a favor. Call deception. See if
Gia --
Gia: Hi. I'm so sorry that I'm late.
Lucky: What took you so
long?
Gia: Would you buy that I didn't know my way to the service entrance?
Lucky: Sure, if the maitre d' hadn't told me that he had a doorman
posted to show you the way.
Gia: Ok, then why don't I just admit that I
have no excuse and grovel for forgiveness?
Lucky: No, no, no, no, no. No
groveling necessary. I'm just glad you didn't blow us off.
Gia: Well, I
wouldn't do that to you or Laura.
Lucky: Oh, sure, not before, you know,
your engagement with his royal highness.
Nikolas: Ok, I'm going to be
inside.
Gia: Ok. {She looks at Lucky when Nikolas leaves} Get ready for a fabulous
shoot. I am going out in style.
Woman: {Powders Gia's face} You're
glowing. It should be illegal to look this good.
Lucky: Is that hay on your jacket?
Gia: Where? {She turns around}
Lucky: I don't want to know. I don't want to know.
Gia: Let's
just say that I'm looking forward to my new life.
Lucky: You worked
really hard for this deception gig, Gia. You sure you're not going to miss it?
Gia: A little. I mean, the people that I get to work with, the fun of
modeling.
Lucky: Being on magazines and on billboards and in
commercials.
Gia: Yeah, that's all a kick, but I'm really excited about
my future. I mean, how many girls get to marry a true -- well, a prince? {Lucky
laughs}
Lucky: Hold that thought.
~*~
Man: Mr. Cassadine?
Nikolas: Yes. Mr. Mosley?
Mr. Mosley: Yes.
Nikolas: It's great to finally put a face with
the name, after the transaction we've discussed.
Mr. Mosley: My god. You
know, it's uncanny, but I guess you hear that all the time.
Nikolas:
Hear what?
Mr. Mosley: Well, you're the image of your father.
~*~
Waiter hands them something to drink
Mr. Mosley: Thank you.
Nikolas: Thank you. So you met my
father?
Mr. Mosley: Once or twice. We didn't actually work together, but we crossed
paths over a couple of financing deals.
Nikolas: I hear he was a great
businessman.
Mr. Mosley: Well, "brilliant" would be a better word. But
judging from your proposal, I'd say you've inherited many of his traits.
Nikolas: Thank you.
Mr. Mosley: I'm sure your father would be very
proud.
~*~
Gia: You know, the one thing I am not going to miss about
modeling is pretending to enjoy a warm spring afternoon when it's the middle of
winter, there is snow outside, and I am basically freezing.
Lucky: Well,
think of it as a small price to pay for all that glamour.
Gia: Yeah, easy for you to say.
Woman: A little something to warm
you up.
Gia: Oh, thanks.
Woman: It's Irish coffee.
Lucky: All
right, time to rock-and-roll.
Gia: Hmm. Ok. I'm ready for my close-up
anytime.
Lucky: All right, here we go. {He takes pictures of
her}
~*~
Elizabeth: You know, maybe we better skip the
whole childhood memory thing.
Sarah: Why? We had some good ones.
Elizabeth: Oh, really? Name one.
Sarah: That -- that grade
school production of "the wizard of oz" that we put together for charity.
Elizabeth: Right, and I remember somebody had to be Dorothy.
Sarah: You had a great part, too.
Elizabeth: Oh, right, the
wicked witch.
Sarah: You got to fly around in that harness!
Elizabeth: Yeah, remember, I scared all the kids?
Sarah: Ok. Ok.
You can be Dorothy next time.
Nikolas: {Walks up to them} Ok, this I've
got to hear. {The girls laugh}
~*~
Lucky: That's it. Great photo shoot, everyone.
Gia: Thank you.
Lucky: Nice job, by the way.
Gia: Didn't
I tell you?
Lucky: Yeah. How about I buy you lunch? Celebrate the end of
an era?
Gia: You're on. Hmm. And then I'm going to
dedicate myself full-time to being Nikolas Cassadine's princess. {They walk into
the restaurant}
Lucky: Thank you.
Nikolas: That's right. {Gia spies Nikolas with Sarah}
